GetHyped API for virtual try-on and outfit feedback
The same AI that powers the GetHyped app, as a REST API. Let your shoppers see a garment on themselves, give people honest feedback on a look before they post it, and add a short motion video, without building any of the AI yourself.
What you can build
- Virtual Try-On. Send a person photo and a garment photo or product link. You get back a realistic photo of that person wearing it.
- Try On motion video. Send any photo of a person and get a short walk-and-turn video.
- Hype Mode feedback. Send one to five photos and a caption. You get clear, private feedback on the look in a few seconds.
- Motion from your own prompt. Add a motion video to a Hype check by describing what the person does, for example “turns slowly and smiles”.
How it works
- Create a developer account. It has its own dashboard, separate from the GetHyped app.
- Top up credits with $10, $15 or $20, and optionally turn on auto reload.
- Try every endpoint in the dashboard’s Playground, then create an API key.
- Call
/api/v1withAuthorization: Bearer ghk_live_.... Try On and videos run as jobs you poll for the result.
The developer dashboard
- Playground. Run Try On, Try On motion, Hype feedback and Hype motion with every option, as a form or as editable JSON, and see the output.
- API keys. Create and revoke keys, with request counts for each.
- Billing. Credits, top-ups, auto reload, your saved card and your purchase history.

Pricing, privacy and limits
You pay with prepaid credits and are charged for what you use. Motion videos are priced by the second and by quality, charged up front and refunded if a video fails. Rate limits apply to each key. Results are kept for 30 days and can be deleted at any time. Calls made through the API never appear in the GetHyped app.
Frequently asked questions
How do I authenticate?
Create a developer account, make a key in the developer dashboard and send it as Authorization: Bearer ghk_live_... on every request. Keys work only on the /api/v1 endpoints.
Can I try it before writing code?
Yes. The developer dashboard has a Playground where you pick an endpoint, upload photos, set every option and run it for real, then see the result as a preview or as raw JSON. It also shows the equivalent cURL request.
How is the API priced and paid for?
Prepaid credits. Top up with $10 (900 credits), $15 (1,350) or $20 (2,000), or turn on auto reload to charge your saved card when your balance runs low (minimum reload $5). A Try On, a Hype Mode check and a motion video each cost a set number of credits, and prompt-driven motion video is priced per second and by quality. Current prices are in your dashboard and at /api/v1/pricing.
What options does the motion video have?
Hype Mode motion lets you set the prompt, the length (1 to 15 seconds), the quality (480P, 768P or 1080P), prompt rewriting, a seed for repeatable results, an end photo, a middle photo at a chosen second, extra reference photos and the provider's content safety filter. Try On motion needs only a photo.
Where can I see the full API reference?
At api.gethyped.me/api/v1/docs, an interactive reference that lists only the public endpoints.
How long are photos and results kept?
Results are stored for 30 days and can be deleted earlier with a DELETE request. Send save_to_history=false with a Try On to avoid keeping it.
Who is responsible for permission to use a person's photo?
You are. Like the AI providers we use, we put responsibility for the content you send on you: you confirm you have the rights and consents needed, including from the people shown, and that you follow the privacy and biometric-data laws that apply. See the Developer API Terms.
How long does a Try On take?
Usually 20 to 60 seconds. You start a job and poll for the result. Hype Mode feedback comes back in about three seconds.
